Goddess of Life

It's been far too long since I have drawn anything of the deities of my world, and the sketch a day seems like a perfect time to have that change. This is Vida, the Goddess of life, and regarded by most races to be the first among the Old Gods. From her sprang all life, she is often depicted in one of a few different ways. The first is as a gorgeous voluptuous maiden, the second is as a pregnant mother, and the third is as a artist at a pottery wheel. Some races have their own local variations depending on how it is they look upon the act of creation or birth.

Vida is said to have crafted each of the races first ones on her pottery wheel using unique combinations to create each race. It is also said that the other gods and goddesses were birthed from her directly....though some of those very same deities are often said to be her siblings. The legends of the Old Gods shift greatly between cultures.
